Kindergarten Enrolment and Administration Officer
- Full Time – Permanent position
- $36.73 per hour + superannuation
Be the welcoming and organised first point of contact for families accessing Wodonga Council’s Kindergarten services.
As our Kindergarten Enrolment and Administration Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring enrolments, records and communications are managed professionally, accurately and with care.
This is an opportunity to combine your administration expertise, customer service skills and attention to detail in a role that genuinely supports the community.
Key aspects of the role:
- Lead central enrolment processing
Administer Council’s kindergarten enrolment system and associated processes to ensure fair, accurate and timely allocation of places in accordance with Council policy and
Department of Education requirements.
- Provide responsive family support
Respond to family enquiries with professionalism and empathy, prepare communication materials, and escalate complex matters appropriately. You’ll help families navigate the enrolment journey with clarity and confidence.
- Maintain accurate and secure records
Ensure all documentation, enrolment packs, and records are accurate, up to date and compliant with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Support reporting and service operations
Prepare reports for leadership, assist with meeting coordination and minute taking, and contribute to community information sessions.
- Coordinate administrative systems and supplies
Monitor stock levels across kindergarten sites, process orders in a timely manner, and support efficient day-to-day operations within the service.
- Work collaboratively across teams
Build strong working relationships with kindergarten partners, internal teams and stakeholders to support smooth service delivery and positive community outcomes.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume administration and accurate data entry
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to adapt to multiple digital systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills, particularly in managing waitlists and applying criteria fairly
- A professional, customer-focused approach when working with families and stakeholders
- Understanding of confidentiality, privacy requirements and Child Safe Standards
