- Lead Complex Projects
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure projects—from concept design through procurement, construction, and handover—ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage.
- Deliver Strategic Outcomes
Ensure all infrastructure projects align with Wodonga Council’s long-term growth strategies, asset plans, and community needs, contributing to a more connected, sustainable, and liveable city.
- Drive Collaboration
Engage and coordinate with internal teams, contractors, developers, and government stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes, resolve challenges, and build strong working relationships.
- Provide Expert Advice
Use your engineering expertise to guide project decisions, influence planning and subdivision outcomes, and contribute to strategic infrastructure development across the city.

Location – onsite
This role will require you to be onsite during working hours.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within local government or similar environments
- Proven ability to lead the design, procurement, and delivery of multi-disciplinary civil construction projects, including strategic input into project scoping, risk mitigation, and long-term asset outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil Site Design), GIS, and project management tools to support program delivery and decision-making.
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve complex issues with stakeholders and contractors.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced and politically aware environment.
