You’ll operate tractors, ride-on mowers, and horticultural equipment, carry out a variety of landscape and maintenance tasks, and contribute to the care of our city’s public spaces. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, values teamwork, and is committed to safety and service.

Bring your skills, energy, and green thumb—we’ll provide the tools and support to help you thrive.

Operate and Maintain Specialist Equipment
You’ll work hands-on with a variety of plant and machinery—tractors, ride-on mowers, front-end loaders, and horticultural tools—to keep Wodonga’s open spaces looking their best. You'll also take pride in daily safety checks and maintenance that keep equipment running smoothly.

Work in a Supportive, Team-Based Environment
You’ll be part of a positive and reliable team that values collaboration, respect, and clear communication. Whether you’re tackling a group project or working independently, support is always close by.

Help Shape Wodonga’s Natural Spaces
See the direct results of your work as you help maintain and improve the parks, gardens, road reserves, and playgrounds that locals and visitors enjoy every day. Your work supports a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant city.

Enjoy Variety in Your Day-to-Day Work
This isn’t a desk job! Each day brings something new—from pruning and planting to rubbish removal, weed control, and even light construction tasks. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills across a wide range of horticultural and maintenance activities.

Build a Career That Makes a Difference
Working with Wodonga Council means contributing to community wellbeing and public safety. Along the way, you’ll grow your knowledge in horticulture, safety procedures, traffic management, and more—all while enjoying job stability and professional development opportunities.
