We are currently recruiting for temporary roles (maternity leave cover) with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Key Selection Criteria

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

  1. Successful completion of a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent.
  2. Sound understanding of current child development and how to assess and support children's learning and wellbeing.
  3. Excellent understanding of and ability to apply the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and related standards, policies and regulations.
  4. Experience supporting the diverse needs of children and families, with strategies that encourage each child to reach their full potential.
  5. A positive, flexible approach with the ability to collaborate and adapt in a dynamic team environment.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to provide the following; 

  • A copy of a recent National Police Check (less than 3 months) 
  • A current drivers licence

Any other mandatory requirements outlined in the position description e.g first aid, CPR, WWCC & forklift etc. 

The completion of a preemployment functional assessment paid for by the council might also be required. 

If applicable evidence regarding right to work in Australia will need to be presented.
