Cultural Services Assistant

As a Cultural Services Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our events are set up for success—literally! Working alongside our amazing Events Team, you will assist with managing event logistics, operations, and equipment. While working alongside volunteers and engaging with the community, you’ll be at the heart of what makes our events unforgettable.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Setting up, packing down, and transporting event equipment – Ensuring everything is ready to go and looking great for many community events.
  • Providing on-the-ground event support – Assisting with event logistics, delivery, volunteer coordination, and engaging with the community.
  • Maintaining event resources – Taking care of equipment, reporting any damages, and keeping things organised.
  • Helping improve processes – Sharing feedback to enhance the overall execution and delivery for the community.

Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following:

  • A copy of a recent National Police Check (less than 3 months old)
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Any other mandatory requirements outlined in the position description (e.g., First Aid, CPR, WWCC, Forklift).
  • The completion of a pre-employment functional assessment (paid for by the council) might also be required.
  • If applicable, evidence regarding the right to work in Australia will need to be presented.
