This role will require a combination of on site work at the Hovell street office and off site work to attend immunisation clinics

Role Summary

As an Immunisation Support Officer you will assist with the delivery of effective immunisation programs and activities ensuring high levels of administrative efficiency and accuracy You will be responsible for managing confidential immunisation records assisting with data entry into various databases and supporting both internal and external stakeholders You will contribute to ongoing improvements in processes systems and services all while maintaining exceptional customer service

 

Key Duties

  • Immunisation Support Work collaboratively with the team providing administrative assistance advice and identifying areas for improvement in the units processes The role involves attendance and participation in regular on site and off site immunisation clinics
  • Record Management Manage update and maintain immunisation records and databases including Pathway modules Kapish CIRV Central Immunisation Records Victoria CaRMI NSW Health School Vaccination Program and AIR Australian Immunisation Register
  • Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and delivering accurate information to both internal and external customers. 
  • Data Coordination Coordinate and ensure timely data entry and updates to state and federal government databases including the Australian Immunisation Register. 
  • Confidential Documentation Produce and administer confidential immunisation records while adhering to privacy and compliance standards. 
  • Program Support Assist in the planning delivery and evaluation of immunisation programs and sessions. 
  • Special Projects Represent the Immunisation Unit in meetings and assist with special interest group activities as required. 

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience with administrative support ideally within the healthcare or public health sector
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite Kapish and immunisation related systems like CIRV CaRMI and AIR
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently use initiative and apply discretion when dealing with sensitive information
