The role
The Team Leader Project Delivery will lead the efficient delivery of the councils annual Capital Works program ensuring projects meet quality time and budget standards. This role involves project management compliance with regulations team leadership and contributing to the Long-Term Capital Works Plan while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key aspects of the role include the following;
- Legislative Compliance; Ensure adherence to the Local Government Act council policies regulations and budget guidelines.
- Project Management; Oversee project delivery including planning budgeting procurement contract administration and risk management.
- Team Leadership; Lead and mentor staff promote a positive work culture and manage performance and professional development.
- Strategic Planning Contribute to the Council Plan and Long-Term Capital Works Plan.
- Stakeholder Communication Provide accurate timely advice to the Executive Team and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria
Our ideal candidate will be able to show us the following.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Project Management with substantial experience in the delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.
- Substantial experience within project management design construction and contractor management across a range of projects. Demonstrated by experience in managing project budgets and programs. Excellent time management and organisational skills including planning budgeting and reporting on capital works projects.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in project management techniques tools and methodologies covering all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Well-developed client relations skills and extensive experience in negotiating directly with clients to determine needs and resolve differences.
