The role

The Executive Services Officer is responsible for contributing to the successful operation of the Executive Services Team though the provision of a high-level of administrative support to the Executive Team and wider organisation. The applicant in the role will; 

  • Support the Executive Team in delivering strategic objectives and shaping the future of Wodonga as a progressive, well-planned city.
  • Gain expertise in systems like Kapish and Camms while expanding your skills in governance, technology, and corporate administration.
  • Full-time stability with opportunities to manage your own workload efficiently in a well-organised setting.

 

Key aspects of the role include the following; 

  • Ensure efficient day-to-day diary management for Director Corporate including the scheduling of meetings and appointments and providing reminders.
  • Work with the Executive Services Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the CEO and Mayor to provide a high quality and well-coordinated service and provide administrative assistance if required.
  • Field calls, emails and correspondence for the director and, in their absence, display tact and diplomacy and apply discretion and confidentiality at all times to provide effective customer service
  • Implement and maintain effective operating procedures and systems to improve workflow and assist with the smooth and coordinated operation and organisation of director’s daily tasks.

Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following.

  • A copy of a recent National Police Check less than 3 months
  • A current driver’s licence

Any other mandatory requirements outlined in the position description eg first aid, CPR, WWCC, forklift

The completion of a pre-employment functional assessment paid for by the council might also be required.

If applicable, evidence regarding right to work in Australia will need to be presented.
