About the Role  

Reporting to the Team Leader Management Accounting the role will have a particular focus on the delivery of payroll services for the whole of council.  

Some of the duties include:  

  • Providing high level support to the Payroll Administrator. 
  • Administration of council's payroll services. 
  • Maintaining accurate employee payroll records. 
  • Providing general administrative support the finance team. 


What you will bring 

To be successful in the role you will be a great team player who is quick to develop relationships, is organised and has a keen eye for detail.   

We are looking for applications showing us that you have: 

  • Experience in interpreting industrial awards, enterprise agreements and relevant legislation. 
  • Experience in the use of computer-based payroll systems and associated financial accounting systems. 
  • Experience in human resource practices/administration. 
  • Experience in the management of a large payroll service. 
  • Previous experience in the finance discipline which may include general finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the collection of monies. 
  • Advanced and current experience in the use of spreadsheets, word processing & databases.
