About the Role

School Crossing Supervisors have a much-valued role in our community, helping students and families cross the road safely during peak school times. It is a great way to stay active, connect with and be a part of the Wodonga community. 

The position works professionally with employees at all levels across Council and liaises with external stakeholders including school children, families, school staff, pedestrians and drivers.  There is an emphasis on maintaining exceptional customer service and responding promptly and courteously to all enquiries. 

Shifts are 1 hour in the morning and/or afternoon.  We will provide you with uniforms, full training and ongoing support. 

What you will bring

We are looking for applicants who are:

  • Community-minded and able to build a strong rapport with community members.
  • Have a professional manner to provide clear instructions to school crossing users. 
  • Are friendly, reliable and flexible with good verbal communication skills.  

 

The position can suit people of many backgrounds, from tertiary students through to retirees.  It also suits people with many different schedules!
