What you will be doing

You will be working in a passionate and supportive team environment to drive the successful identification and delivery of economic development projects and initiatives to support the achievement of the council’s strategic objectives.

You will have the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, apply for and execute grant funding initiatives and projects, perform economic analysis, and facilitate business growth and attraction.

You will be invited to contribute ideas and drive innovation within the team, the organisation and the local business community.

 

What you will bring

With a background in business, economics, strategic planning, or similar, you are ready to bring your passion for community and economics to the Economic Development team at Wodonga council.

To be successful in the role you will be an effective team player who is quick to develop good relationships, is driven, hardworking, collaborative, solutions-oriented and passionate in delivering quality outcomes for our organisation.

Our ideal candidate will be able to show us their:

  • Commitment to evidence-based decision making.
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of governance practices.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to the positive team culture.
  • Degree in business or economics and/or experience working in economic development, business and/or commerce.
