The Role
</div>

Joining the Community Development and Youth team as the Youth Officer you will provide quality services which reflect the priorities of the Youth Strategy, implement a range of programs and projects and engage with young people to achieve youth participation and community strengthening.
</div>

About you

To be successful in the role you will be a great team player who is quick to develop good relationships, is driven, hardworking, collaborative, solutions-oriented and passionate in delivering quality outcomes for our organisation.

<div>
As the successful candidate, you will also be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria.
- Tertiary qualifications in youth services, or a related field, along with some relevant workplace experience.
- Experience in engaging with young people.
- Well-developed communication skills, with proven ability to effectively engage and develop relationships with key stakeholders and young people.
- An understanding of project management principles with an ability to meet key business goals and priorities.
- A motivated and proactive nature with the ability to set priorities, manage time and work effectively to achieve outcomes within set timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of organising and coordinating events.
