Economic Development Support Officer

The Role

Wodonga Council are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated full time Economic Development Support Officer.

The Economic Development Support Officer will play an integral support role in the Economic Development and Investment Attraction team. The role will provide administrative support and assistance to deliver economic development initiatives identified in various plans and strategies and contributing to the successful operation of property management. This includes the Council Plan and the relevant economic development strategies and plans.

Providing administration support to the Economic Development and Property functions, the role will assist the team to co-ordinate grant funding, manage projects, input and collate data, undertake economic marketing projects and conduct research. The role will provide general administration support for the Economic Development and Investment Attraction team at Wodonga Council.

As the successful candidate, you will also be able to demonstrate the following Key Selection Criteria.


1. Detail your knowledge of the principles of business and economic development gained through practical experience

    or study.

2. The ability to input and extract data and prepare reports.

3. Minimum Cert III in business, marketing, commerce, economics or a related discipline or experience in an economic

    development/ business development role.

4. Efficient and effective planning and use of own time in the setting of priorities to achieve specific objectives within

    given timeframes.

5. Demonstrated experience preparing documents and correspondence.
