The Role 

This position will have a leading role in ensuring Wodonga Council engages with and informs our community, key stakeholders and staff through the effective planning and delivery of quality consultation, engagement and communications activities. 

Duties include developing and implementing engagement and communications plans for the council and business units  as well as taking a lead role in delivering internal communications for the organisation.

As the successful candidate, you will also be able to demonstrate the below key selection criteria. 

1.    A knowledge of community engagement and the ability to develop and deliver community engagement plans

2.    Demonstrated excellent communications, professional writing and customer service skills.

3.    Demonstrated experience in working with websites, social media and other online tools

4.    Demonstrated experience in working with and engaging stakeholders in a variety of settings.

5.    Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work to achieve set objectives.
