Two Cities One Community and Regional Partnerships Co-ordinator

On October 13, 2017 AlburyCity and Wodonga Council entered into a historic partnership between the two cities. Combining the vision and common priorities of our people, a Two Cities One Community Strategic Plan has been developed and is supported by a detailed action plan outlining the projects that we will undertake over coming years.

This partnership is a unique opportunity to develop a way forward that benefits our community as a whole with the aim of improving integration, productivity and social and economic development. It will focus on future growth and will continue to add value to both cities.

Based at Wodonga Council, the Two Cities, One Community (2C1C) and Regional Partnerships position will implement the 2C1C strategic plans and work with both councils to deliver on the commitments and reporting obligations under the Regional Deal and other strategic partnerships between the State and Federal Government under key policy priorities.

This exciting position will play an important operational role in leading the management and coordination of the delivery of the 2C1C action plan and regional deal.

This will include the implementation and ongoing evaluation of key actions and developing and maintaining project management systems that support coordination, development and implementation of initiatives.

The co-ordinator will prepare strategic information, research new ideas, and develop project plans that detail resources required over the life of the plans and establish effective reporting and monitoring for these initiatives.

A key responsibility will be to facilitate engagement and collaboration with stakeholders and work across all levels of government and the community to deliver the best outcomes and to ensure coordinated solutions.
